For a long time, modern HR software was reserved for large enterprises: SAP licenses, six-figure implementation budgets, IT departments that could carry the load. Mid-market companies worked with spreadsheets and gut feeling — not by choice, but for lack of alternatives.

That has changed. With platforms like Personio, Factorial and other modern cloud HR systems, software is now available that is built for companies starting at 50, 100 or 500 employees — not at 5,000. The tools are here. They are affordable. And they are good.

What's missing is the right guidance. Consultants who know HR from the inside, who genuinely understand the software, and who work eye-to-eye with the mid-market — without enterprise markups and without enterprise templates.

That is precisely why DignativeX exists.

25 years in HR tech. By conviction, not by chance.

I'm Sascha Lutz, holding a degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Betriebswirt FH) with a focus on International Human Resources — and I have been working in HR tech projects since 2001. As a consultant at BearingPoint and Accenture, as SuccessFactors practice lead at Deloitte, as co-founder of Reload HR, and today as the founder of DignativeX.

Stations that shaped me: SAP HCM rollouts across the public administration of the State of Hesse, a Comp & Ben outsourcing for BP in London, post-merger integration of HR IT at SAP, a global HR transformation at Allianz with more than 100,000 employees, the worldwide rollout for Allianz Partners across 84 countries, SuccessFactors and SAP HCM programs at Roche, Olympus, Bundesdruckerei, Havi Logistics, SÜWAG Energie and many others.

Since 2018: more than 25 mid-market companies for which I have implemented Personio or Factorial, for which we deliver integrations or which we support in the further build-out of their HR platform.

From all of this, I have taken away two things above all.

First: how to steer HR projects in an agile and efficient way, make decisive calls at the right moments, and keep complex programs on course without losing sight of the actual goal.

Second: enterprises have invested billions in HR software over the last 25 years — processes, templates, standards, data models and best practices that are today the benchmark for modern people work. Anyone who knows that world from the inside knows exactly what creates real value in the mid-market — and what is expensive overhead better left out.

That bridge is what I build today with DignativeX.

Reload HR — The Backstory

2018: Reload HR.

In 2018 I founded Reload HR together with Leopold Daniels and Piotr Jacak. The idea: deliver HR transformation agile and hands-on, instead of fighting PowerPoint battles. We supported SAP migrations, ran Personio rollouts, supported Rexx implementations and automated HR processes.

At Reload HR I learned what really makes the difference between a large DAX project and a mid-market HR transformation. What I took away:

  • Speed beats gates. In a corporate, vendor selection alone takes a year. In the mid-market, that same time is enough to roll the system out and go live.
  • Pragmatism beats global templates. In a corporate, a standard is built for 50 countries. In the mid-market, what counts is what actually helps the 250 employees here.
  • Real expertise beats consultant armies. Customers notice within 20 minutes whether someone has actually configured the system themselves — and they don't want a junior squad, they want one person who delivers.

Out of those seven years, the idea for DignativeX emerged — with a sharper focus on the mid-market and on building proprietary software where standard tools fall short.

I've spent 25 years working on HR programs at Allianz, Roche, SAP, BP, Deutsche Telekom, Bundesdruckerei and many more. Today I help mid-market companies use exactly those standards — without the enterprise complexity, the enterprise consultant army, or the enterprise markup.

We implement modern HR platforms: Personio, Factorial, HiBob, HRworks. But good HR software requires good HR processes first — and that's exactly our core business. 25 years of deep experience with Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Comp & Ben, Payroll and Offboarding flow into every architecture we build — from the core system to all adjacent systems.

We can build what doesn't yet exist.

When the process doesn't fit standard software, we write the app. Power Platform, web apps, cloud migration. That combined stack is rare among consultants — we have it.
